The Indian Parliament is a bicameral institution consisting the Office of President of Indian Republic, and the two houses Rajya Sabha or Upper House and Lok Sabha or lower House. The number of the members of the Lok Sabha is 545 out of which 530 members are elected by the people of the democratic country representing the constituency of their respective state, where the remaining 15 members are selected from the Union Territory. The number of the members of the Upper House or Rajya Sabha is 250. Of this 12 members are nominated by the President of India, where as the remaining 238 are elected by the members of the state assemblies. Their elections are held after every two years.
The members of the lok sabha are elected after every years in the general elections however some time due to uncertainty in the mid-term election when the ruling government looses the vote of confidence in the lok sabha.
Rajasthan also has its representatives in both the houses of the Parliament. It has 25 members representing the state in Lok Sabha and ten members in Rajya Sabha.
